What We Do

We are a small family farm located 10 miles east of exit 99 on Interstate 79 near Moraine State Park. We have been farming organically since 1998 and our farm has been Certified Organic since 2003. We raise organic meat chickens and eggs. Later this summer we will have grass-fed beef available. Our goal is to produce healthy food to feed our family and to people looking for healthy food for their family as well. We raise our animals in a humane, healthy environment with the animals on pasture as much as possible. We also grow our own grains for the chickens. We do not use any pesticides, antibiotics, hormones, or chemical fertilizers.

Our philosophy is that healthy soils produce healthy crops to grow healthy animals to get healthy people. We believe that the more grass the animal can get the healthier they will be. Meat from animals that have a grass-based diet have lower amounts of fat, saturated fat, calories and cholesterol. They also contain higher amounts of vitamins C and E, beta-carotene, and health promoting fats called Omega 3’s and CLA’s (conjugated linoleic acid). 

We sell to many people in the Pittsburgh area. We also supply a local farmer for their CSA (community supported agriculture) customers.
